At its second meeting of the year, the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW (Film and Media Foundation of North Rhine-Westphalia) granted funding of 589,000 Euros to nine games. Two projects in production, five prototypes and two concepts were funded.

Nine games are being funded by the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, including Pen & Paper Stories: Morriton Manor, a game adaptation of a Rocket Beans TV format. The strategy and management game Breaking News puts players in the role of a newspaper editor. In Potato Punk, magical potatoes spark a technological revolution. Kudrun is based on Incubation - Battle Isle Phase Four from 1997.

Walid Nakschbandi, Managing Director of the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, sums it up: "The Film- und Medienstiftung is and will remain a committed supporter of gamers and the games industry."

Prototype - 80,000 Euros for Breaking News by Papercoda Games, Cologne - 70,000 Euros for Escape the Dungeon by TxK Gaming Studios from Leverkusen - 70.000 Euros for Pecktopia by 6side Studio from Zülpich - 70,000 Euros for Shallow Pond by Nimso from Bochum - 20,000 Euros for Fuse Dash by Martin Gauer from Duisburg

Concept - 20,000 Euros for Kudrun by Pietrowsky & Nitsche, Mettmann - 19,000 Euros for Potatopunk by bias Interactive, Langenfeld
