On Wednesday and Thursday this week, Munich saw a special Investor Meetup for the games industry: Organised by Benjamin Lochmann of Pixel Maniacs and Games Bavaria Munich, a two day event brought together the Bavarian games industry (as well as some Hesse and Swiss companies) with Frank Meijer of Focus Entertainment, Catherine Chew of Ichiba and Ivan C. of Joystick Ventures.

The event, hosted by Robin Kocaurek of Jumpy Bit, started out with a greeting by the Bavarian Digital Minister Fabian Mehring who was on site, advertising Bavaria as a location to the investors, announcing “call me if there are any problems”. Over the course of two days, the event included office tours in the Gamerei hub, an Uber tour of Munich (due to the strike days of public transport falling on the same days), playtests, social and single pitch meetings and much more.
