Namco verstärkt die eigene Handygames-Division mit Gareth Evans, der den Posten des Mobile Development Egineer übernimmt.

Der europäische Markt für Handyspiele hat nach ersten Erfolgen in Großbritannien das Interesse Namcos geweckt. Trotz aller Schwierigkeiten, mit denen ein multinationaler Publisher aufgrund der Vielzahl an Mobilfunkanbietern, Standards, Handymodellen und Sprachen in Europa zu kämpfen hat, verspricht man sich in der britischen Europazentrale viel vom Engagement. Mit Gareth Evans wurde nun ein Branchenkenner verpflichtet, der das Geschäft weiter ausbauen soll. Als neuer Mobile Development Engineer wird Evans ein Auge auf die Neuentwicklungen werfen und vor allem die Qualitätskontrolle und Postproduktion überwachen. In den vergangenen Jahren war Gareth eigenverantwortlich tätig und entwickelte u.a. Spiele für Smartphones.
