We knew she was changing jobs to Vienna after the closure of the Center for Applied Game Studies in Krems, now we know were to: Natalie Denk is now a Project Manager at Three Coins, a social enterprise concerned with financial education. At Three Coins, Denk will lead a new educational project focused on the co-creative development of a serious game for young people.
“For over 10 years, I have been working and conducting research in the field of game-based education, focusing on how game-based formats can make learning more accessible, motivating, and sustainable. Working with young people is particularly important to me: taking their realities seriously, incorporating their perspectives into the development of educational offerings, and creating learning spaces that empower self-determination. What has always accompanied me in this work is the desire for it to have an impact beyond the scope of research projects, to reach many people, and thus to make a contribution to society. I am all the more delighted that I can now build on this”, she says on LinkedIn.
Denk will also stay in Game Studies: Together with Subotron founder Jogi Neufeld, she has saved the FROG – Future and Reality of Gaming conference, coming later this year to Vienna.
