"Drei Leben für Games" by Hans Ippisch will be Published in October
One month before its release, Look Behind You Verlag announced the autobiographical work "Drei Leben für Games - Mein Weg vom Commodore 64 in die Virtual Reality" by Hans Ippisch. The book includes numerous guest contributions from Chris Hülsbeck, Fritz Egner, David Perry, Jürgen Goeldner, and others.
Although "Drei Leben für Games - Mein Weg vom Commodore 64 in die Virtual Reality" (Three Lives for Games - My Journey from Commodore 64 to Virtual Reality) is billed as an autobiographical work, it is also a personal retrospective on almost four decades of video game history. Ippisch came into contact with the industry at a young age and developed titles such as Danger Freak and Rock'n'Roll for the C64 in the 1980s. Later, he shaped the German gaming magazine landscape at Computec Media as editor-in-chief and later as CEO. Less successful, but by no means less interesting, was his involvement as European president of Intellivision Entertainment, before he also entered the world of in-car entertainment as principal at Audi spin-off holoride.
However, the book also goes beyond the history of the industry. In addition to Ippisch's contributions, in which he provides honest insights into the successes and setbacks of his career, numerous well-known industry personalities have also contributed to the book. It contains guest contributions from colleagues such as Chris Hülsbeck, Fritz Egner, and industry pioneers such as David Perry, Phil Adam, Jürgen Goeldner, and Marco Accordi Rickards.
"Drei Leben für Games – Mein Weg vom Commodore 64 in die Virtual Reality" Three Lives for Games – My Journey from the Commodore 64 to Virtual Reality will be published in German on October 18 by Look Behind You Publishing as a 208-page hardcover. The price is €24.90.
