"Highway Police Simulator" Announced by Aerosoft and Z-Software
Aerosoft and Z-Software have announced a new police simulation game, "Highway Police Simulator", to be released this autumn. The project received almost one million euros in federal funding.
Aerosoft and Z-Software have announced "Highway Police Simulator" for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The open-world law enforcement simulation will launch in September 2024. Z-Software from Dortmund is known for the Autobahn Police Simulator franchise. The game will be released under the Aerosoft Move label.
""Highway Police Simulator" encapsulates the investigative, often stressful role of law enforcement in a detailed and realistic world," said Dirk Ohler, Head of Product at Aerosoft. "We're thrilled to announce the title and our continued partnership with the talented team at Z-Software, and we look forward to all our new recruits joining the force in September 2024!"
The game, which at the time had the working title "Plaumenmus", was funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economy and Climate Protection with almost one million Euros.
Aerosoft will showcase the new Highway Police Simulator teaser at this year's Game Developers Conference from 20-22 March at the Aerosoft booth at the German Pavilion (booth No. S 849) in the South Hall of the Moscone Center.
The announcement of the game follows closely on the heels of the presentation of the Highway Patrol expansion for "Police Simulator: Patrol Officers" from Aesir Interactive and astragon Entertainment. Both Aerosoft and astragon target a similar audience in this simulation sub-genre.
"Highway Police Simulator" is a simulation in a dynamic and reactive world inspired by North American locales, with story missions which advance the overarching narrative, impacted by a dynamic morality system based on officer behavior. "Select either Casual or Simulation gameplay modes to adjust the freeplay, allowing for a fully immersive experience or a guided journey through the open world," writes publisher Aerosoft.
