Together with Lorenzo von Petersdorff from the USK and media educator Melanie Endler from FragFINN, game association MD Felix Falk will discuss the topic of loot boxes in this Thursday's talk format #gamechanger.

In its recurring talk format #gamechanger, the German games industry association game discusses relevant topics with experts from all over the industry and civil society. This Thursday, 21 March 2024, it starts at 11 a.m. on the game’s Twitch channel. As guests, Lorenzo von Petersdorff, Deputy Managing Director of the USK, and Melanie Endler, media educator at fragFINN, will attend. Together with game's Managing Director Felix Falk, the current debate surrounding loot boxes will be addressed, which has roused attention on country and federal level in Germany as well as at the EU and in the UK recently, particularly with regard to the protection of minors. Among other things, it wants to address the questions of what loot boxes are, how they are used and how they should be assessed from the perspective of the protection of minors. It will also show what role they already play in age ratings and what parents should bear in mind.

The talk will be held in German language and can be streamed or watched as VOD afterwards for free through the Twitch channel.
