The SGDA (Swiss Game Developers Association) has been presenting the Swiss Game Awards, also known as SWIGA, since 2013, and the next edition is just around the corner. On December 18, the winners in the four categories – Best Entertainment Game, Best Serious Game, Most Anticipated Game, and Best Student Game – will be announced via YouTube stream.

However, those who do not want to watch the ceremony alone at home can attend one of three watch parties organized by the Swiss industry. These will take place in Zurich at the Swiss Game Hub, in Lausanne at Pyxis Exploration Numérique, and in Geneva at the Oasis Bar.

The Best Entertainment Game category in particular has a stellar lineup of nominees this year. Time Flies won a SWIGA in 2024 as Most Anticipated Game, beating out fellow nominee Projected Dreams. Henry Halfhead and The Wandering Village were nominated in the Most Anticipated category in 2023, but lost to Grimoire Groves. And the fifth nominee, Herdling, was never nominated for the Most Anticipated Award, but is currently on the shortlist for the Unity Awards.
