The 11th Fantasy Basel - The Swiss Comic Con falls just short of the 100,000 visitor mark. Nevertheless, it underpins its standing as the largest pop culture festival in Switzerland, gaming zone included.

And it had a lot to offer. In addition to Nintendo and Bethesda, who brought along The Elder Scolls 4 Oblivion Remastered, The Pokémon Company was also at the start for the first time with the Play Lab. Various tournaments were also organized in the esports corner.

But even though games are an essential part of Fantasy Basel - The Swiss Comic Con, the festival also attracts numerous visitors because of the cosplay show, Content Creator and the Swiss K-Pop Dance Summit, which closes the event. According to the organizers, there were 97,000 visitors in total, around ten percent more than last year, when Fantasy Basel celebrated its tenth anniversary with a record-breaking edition.

This year, in addition to film stars such as Graham McTavish (The Hobbit, Outlander, The Witcher), Vanessa Rubio (Cobra Kai) and Ed Speleers (Star Trek: Picard, Eragon, Downtown Abbey), visitors could also look forward to seeing influencers and content creators such as Coldmirror, Domtendo, Carina Pusch and Raafey. In total, there were over 400 stands with national and international artists in Artist Alley.
