The European games publishers’ association, Video Games Europe, has a new chair of the board. Nintendo executive Clemens Mayer-Wegelin has taken over the role from Warner Bros. executive Hester Woodliffe, who has driven the association forward over the past two years.

Austria’s Investment Screening Process is Holding up JD.com’s Takeover of MediaMarkt

According to Ceconomy, the parent company of MediaMarktSaturn, talks with the Austrian authorities regarding the planned partnership – or takeover – by the Chinese firm JD.com are proving difficult. A delay is possible, and reports suggest that withdrawing from the Austrian market is an option.
