Roblox has reported strong second-quarter figures for revenue, DAUs and payers. The net loss grew anyway. And Chief Product Officer Manuel Bronstein has announced his departure.

Roblox continues to be a phenomenon. In the second quarter of 2025, the platform of the company of the same name recorded revenue of $1.08 billion. That is 21% more than in the previous year. The number of daily active users (DAUs) rose by 41% to 111.8 million. And the number of users who spent money on the platform in a month rose by 42% to 23.4 million.

Despite this positive development, not all key figures are convincing. Net loss attributable to common stockholders was $278.4 million, while consolidated net loss was $279.8 million. In the previous year net loss attributable to common stockholders was $205.9 million during the second quarter, while consolidated net loss was $207.2 million.

It is also unclear what long-term impact a personnel change announced by Roblox on the sidelines of its quarterly results will have. Chief Product Officer Manuel Bronstein has announced his intention to leave the company on 30 September for personal reasons and to pursue entrepreneurial opportunities. Bronstein will remain with Roblox in an advisory capacity until 13 April to assist with the transition.
