Julia Marciniak Joins the Caggtus Team at Leipziger Messe
With less than three months to go before the start, the Leipzig Trade Fair's organizing team has gained reinforcements for Caggtus. Julia Marciniak will be managing the Business Lounge, among other responsibilities, as the new project manager.
However, she first has to familiarize herself with the role as quickly as possible, as revealed in an interview post by Caggtus announcing her arrival. In the post, Julia Marciniak also describes her future tasks als Project Manager Caggtus at Leipziger Messe, which will include overseeing the Stream Area as well as the Business Lounge.
Caggtus in Leipzig is being held for the third time this year. In 2024, the LAN party and trade fair attracted 17,300 visitors, a significant increase compared to the debut event in 2023. Of those attendees, 1,900 were registered for the LAN party. For 2025, a new record in LAN participation is already on the horizon.
The Leipziger Messe team conceptualized Caggtus after its partnership with the organizers of DreamHack ended, and DreamHack Germany relocated from Leipzig to Hannover. This marked the second time that Leipziger Messe had lost an established games event brand. In the early 2000s, the gamescom predecessor, GC – Games Convention, was held in Leipzig for several years. Unlike GC or DreamHack, Caggtus is an in-house brand created and managed by Leipziger Messe.
