Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced has already sold over 200,000 copies in Germany, earning it the Platinum Award. The remake of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, which was originally released in 2013, was launched on 9 July 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Last July, the association awarded EA Sports F1 25 a Gold Award for sales exceeding 100,000 copies.
The game Sales Award is presented by game, the German Games Industry Association, to recognise the best-selling computer and video games in Germany. It is based on the latest sales figures from Video Games Europe's industry panel, GSD (Game Sales Data). Titles that sell more than 100,000, 200,000, 400,000 or 600,000 copies across all platforms in Germany within the first 12 months of release are eligible for a game Sales Award in the Gold, Platinum, Double Platinum or Multi-Platinum categories.
