The Anno series, one of the most successful gaming IPs from Germany, is not exactly known as a console game. This makes it all the more surprising and wonderful that “Anno 117: Pax Romana” made it to number 19 in the PlayStation Store charts in Europe in November.

However, the real music of the charts is playing elsewhere, of course, namely at number 1. Call of Duty: Black Ops fought its way to the top spot at launch in both Europe and North America. It's a success that was expected, even though some streamers were recently very concerned that the success of Battlefield 6 could lead to a complete collapse of COD. That's not the case, but it remains exciting to see how things will continue between “COD” and “BF.” Especially since the free-to-play charts show that Battlefield's battle royale mode, Redsec, continues to lead ahead of COD's battle royale free-to-play, Warzone. Interestingly, in the US, the list is led by Where Winds Meet, a title from Chinese developer Everstone, co-published by NetEase.

In Europe, Where Winds Meed ranks second in the PlayStation Store November charts, behind Redsec but ahead of Fortnite, Roblox, and Warzone.

PlayStation Store Charts: The triumph of Battlefield
October brought the same picture on both sides of the Atlantic: EA’s Battlefield 6 ranks ahead of the first-party game Ghost of Yotei in the PlayStation Store. Only then do differences between North America and Europe become apparent.
