Der australische Distributor von Sega, OziSoft, will den Preis der Dreamcast auf 299 australische Dollar (umgerechnet etwa 380 Mark) senken. Ab 24. August soll die Preissenkung auf den Handel umgeschlagen werden, zeitgleich zur Markteinführung des "Dreamkey", der Internetzugangsdisc für die Konsole. Danny Gambaro, Sales Director von OziSoft, sieht die Dreamcast zu 299 Dollar jetzt als absolutes Massenprodukt für den australischen Markt.
