Microsoft Increases Prices for Xbox Consoles and Games

Prices for Xbox consoles and controllers are being increased worldwide. In Europe, Microsoft is raising the price of Xbox consoles by 50 euros. Some first-party games releasing this holiday season will also be more expensive.
Effective 1 May, Microsoft has adjusted recommended retail prices for consoles and controllers worldwide. "We understand that these changes are challenging, and they were made with careful consideration given market conditions and the rising cost of development. Looking ahead, we continue to focus on offering more ways to play more games across any screen and ensuring value for Xbox players," Microsoft said.
In Europe, the price of Xbox consoles will increase by €50. Xbox Series X and S availability may change over time depending on retailer and country.

The situation for controllers in Europe is as follows. Headset prices will only change in the US and Canada. Some Xbox controllers, such as the Adaptive Controller and Adaptive Joystick, will remain the same price.

In addition, a number of new first-party games will be available for €79.99 starting this holiday season. "Those titles purchased on the Xbox Store have the benefit of Xbox Play Anywhere, allowing players to buy once and play on console and PC at no additional cost," Microsoft added. The price of Xbox Game Pass will not change.
