The world's richest man wants to "make games great again". To do this, he plans to set up an AI game studio at xAI because "too many game studios are owned by massive corporations". Once again, he lashed out at the woke culture.

Elon Musk's startup xAI, founded in 2023, will develop games in a dedicated AI Game Studio. In reference to Trump's presidential campaign slogan, the studio's goal is to "make games great again". Musk made the announcement at X in response to a post by Dogecoin co-founder Billy Markus, who said he didn't understand how game developers and journalists had become "so ideologically captured" and that "real gamers" would "always reject dumb manipulative bs". Musk has previously spoken out against "wokeness", and had already positioned xAI as "maximum truth-seeking" in contrast to the "woken racist" AI of OpenAI and Google (Gemini). The original goal of xAI was "to understand the true nature of the universe".

In the same breath, Musk said that "too many game studios" are "owned by massive corporations". So the leader of "massive corporations" like X, Tesla and SpaceX has announced that he wants to play along. He did not mention any concrete plans, nor did he elaborate on what such an AI game studio would look like.
