Laut Sony Japan wird die PSP nicht mehr im März in Europa auf den Markt kommen. Grund sind mangelnde Produktionskapazitäten für die PSP-Chips.

Wie US-Medien berichten, wird Sonys PSP nicht mehr im März in Europa auf den Markt kommen. Man könne nicht genügend Chips bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt herstellen, um die Nachfrage zu befriedigen. Kenichi Fukunaga, ein Sprecher von Sony, sagte, PSP werde nun im ersten Halbjahr 2005 in Europa erscheinen.

Sony Computer Entertainment Deutschland teilte MCVgamesmarkt auf Anfrage mit, dass man mit einem Release "im Frühjahr 2005" in Deutschland rechne, also bis zum Sommerbeginn.
