Jumpgate and THQ Nordic Sign Agreement for Grand Prix of Europe-Game
The kart racing game based on Grand Prix of Europe, Ed & Edda: Grand Prix – Racing Champions, is one of three games that Jumpgate has high hopes for this year. With THQ Nordic the Swedish group has now secured an experienced distribution partner for the game developed by Tivola in cooperation with Funatics.
Jumpgate has entered into a distribution agreement with THQ Nordic for the upcoming kart racing game Ed & Edda: Grand Prix – Racing Champions. The game is developed by Jumpgate studio Tivola Games in cooperation with Funatics and under a license agreement with Mack One, which is part of the Europa-Park family of companies. The game is based on the upcoming movie Grand Prix of Europe, which is an animated film based on characters from the Europa-Park. The movie will be released in the summer of 2025 in connection with Europa-Park’s 50-year anniversary and is distributed in key territories by Warner Bros with a substantial marketing budget, according to Jumpgate. The game will be released in connection with the movie premiere on July 24.
The Europa-Park is the second-largest amusement park in Europe and the game will be distributed by the park as well as in the common retail and digital distribution channels. The agreement with THQ Nordic covers all retail distribution in Europe, except for sales in the Europa-Park and through the partners of the park.
"We are very satisfied to bring onboard THQ Nordic as distribution partner for Grand Prix of Europe. I know THQ well since many years and have a very good experience from previous collaborations. We now look forward to the release of the game in the end of July, which is the first of three important releases for Jumpgate in the second half of 2025", says Harald Riegler, CEO Jumpgate .
