Capcom's business is monstrously successful. The Japanese company posted record results in almost all areas. In the last financial year, 51.87 million games were sold. The outlook is even more positive.

During the 2024–25 fiscal year (April 2024 to March 2025), Capcom's core digital content business delivered strong results, achieving annual sales of 51.87 million units (90% digital), marking an increase of over five million units from the previous year. This was driven by the release of Monster Hunter Wilds in February 2025, which sold over 10 million units in one month, as well as robust sales of catalogue titles led by the Monster Hunter series. In total, cumulative sales of the Monster Hunter series surpassed 100 million units worldwide. The mobile spin-off Monster Hunter Now has surpassed 15 million downloads. Games in the Resident Evil series, particularly Resident Evil 4, have also sold well. "Further, the company expanded earnings by leveraging its major brands in movies, character merchandise, and esports, while also carrying out steady store operations and promoting new store formats in its Arcade Operations business, and increasing unit sales volume of new smart pachislo machines, including Monster Hunter Rise, in its Amusement Equipments Business," Capcom said. These results represent the publisher's eighth consecutive year of record-high net sales and profit at all levels, as well as the tenth consecutive year of over 10% operating income growth.

Capcom's net sales were 169,604 million yen (up 11.3% year-on-year; ~€1.06 billion), operating income was 65,777 million yen (up 15.2%; ~€401 million), ordinary income was 65,635 million yen (up 10.5%; ~€400 million), and net income attributable to owners of the parent was 48,453 million yen (up 11.7%; ~€296 million). For the current financial year, Capcom expects net sales of 190,000 million yen (~€1.16 billion) and operating income of 73,000 million Yen (~€445 million). This would mark nine consecutive years of record-high profits at all levels and eleven consecutive years of operating income growth exceeding 10%.

During the current financial year, which ends in March 2026, Capcom is set to release the Capcom Fighting Collection 2 and the Onimusha 2 Remaster in May 2025. The company also plans to launch Street Fighter 6 and Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess for the Nintendo Switch 2 in June. Capcom will also "strive to maximize profits and continuously increase its total unit sales volume by strengthening digital sales and promoting sales measures for catalog titles such as Monster Hunter Wilds, which was released in the fiscal year under review. Furthermore, the Company will continue to pursue brand enhancement and user growth by continuing efforts in esports with Street Fighter 6." There are also unannounced games in development for this financial year, and it is likely that the publisher will release one or more titles from its major franchises, possibly including a new game in the main Resident Evil series.
