SAE's new AI courses specifically cover seven different creative disciplines. These range from video production and music production to vibe coding for prototyping and MVPs, the continuing education course designed for game developers.
"Artificial intelligence is playing an increasingly important role in media production and is already shaping numerous creative processes,” says Jasmin Kreft, Innovation & AI Strategist at SAE Institute. “At SAE Institute, we are convinced that AI does not replace creative work, but rather enhances it. The new tools open up enormous opportunities to implement ideas in a more targeted, structured and productive way. That's why we make our students AI-competent at an early stage and show them how to use these technologies effectively. With our new training courses, we now want to make this expertise available to working media professionals and support them in integrating AI tools into their processes in a way that suits their needs."
According to the SAE Institute, each of the seven qualifications offered is designed to last 42 hours, can be completed either online or at one of the ten SAE locations in Germany, and can be integrated into everyday working life. In addition, there is a 24-hour special course on AI Literacy & EU AI Act, which teaches participants across all industries how to use AI in compliance with the EU AI Act.
The courses themselves are not exactly cheap. The participation fee is €3,499. Thanks to the so-called Kompass funding (compact assistance for solo self-employed persons) from the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, solo self-employed persons can have up to 90 per cent of their training costs reimbursed. However, certain requirements must be met in order to qualify.
