Multi-Platinum Award for EA, Three Other Awards for Focus, Nintendo and Ubisoft

EA Sports FC 25 has sold over 600,000 copies in Germany, winning a Multi-Platinum game Sales Award. Three other awards go to Star Wars Outlaws, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.
In September 2024, game - the German Games Industry Association - presented four game Sales Awards for the best-selling games in Germany. An award in the highest category, Multi-Platinum, for 600,000 units sold goes to EA Sports FC 25, the football game from Electronic Arts, which was released on 20 September (Advanced Access) and 27 September for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.
Three other games received game Sales Awards in Gold for selling more than 100,000 units each. One is Star Wars Outlaws for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S from Ubisoft, which was released at the end of August. Another Gold award goes to Nintendo for The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, released on Switch on 26 September. The third Gold award is handed out to Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The game Sales Awards are based on sales figures from the Video Games Europe industry panel GSD (Game Sales Data). Titles that have sold more than 100,000, 200,000, 400,000 or 600,000 copies across all platforms in Germany in the first twelve months after launch are eligible to receive a game Sales Award in the Gold, Platinum, Double Platinum or Multi-Platinum categories.
