Despite the summer lull and the European Football Championship, two games met game's Gold Sales Award criteria in June. Both games are from Nintendo.

Everyone knows that June is not the best month for game sales. And with the European Football Championship Euro 24 taking place at the same time, there was little cause for optimism for German games retailers. But despite the circumstances, two games managed to meet the criteria for a Gold Sales Award in June, selling over 100,000 units in the first twelve months after launch: "Pikmin 4" and "Princess Peach: Showtime!"

Both Nintendo titles were honoured with a Gold Award from game - Verband der deutschen Games-Branche (game - The German Games Industry Association). It remains to be seen whether the titles will ultimately receive a Platinum Award for 200,000 units. "Princess Peach, which was released only a few months ago, has plenty of time to reach that figure.
