Medieval and Monsters in German Games Charts February 2025

Four newcomers, two of them at the top – February has shaken up the German games charts. In the end, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II came out ahead of Monster Hunter Wilds.
King Football has vacated his throne, at least temporally. February has not only brought the official German Games Charts a new frontrunner, but two at that. EA Sports FC 25, on the other hand, has to settle for third place in the sales list, which is based on game sales data.
The new number 1 in February is Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, developed by Warhorse Studios and published by Deep Silver and Plaion. The medieval role-playing game even managed to beat Capcom's Monster Hunter Wilds, which, however, was released on the last day of the month—meaning only day-one sales were included in the chart survey.
The third new entry in the top ten, however, was beaten by football. Sid Meier's Civilization VII from 2K/Take-Two Interactive came in at number 4 on the hit list. With Microsoft's Avowed in 17th place, a fourth new entry finally made it into the charts. The role-playing game, developed by Obsidian, was released only for PC and Xbox and, thanks to its parallel Xbox Game Pass release, has likely reached significantly more players than pure sales figures—and thus its chart placement—suggest. However, this is likely to raise further questions about whether a PS5 port is still planned.
The data is collected by Games Sales Data (GSD), a platform launched by Video Games Europe to measure physical and digital sales of computer and video games. The charts provide a unique and comprehensive overview of the most successful games in Germany in a given month. The charts are published monthly by game - the German Games Industry Association.
