According to Quantic Dream, Detroit: Become Human, which was first released in 2018, has now sold more than ten million copies. This figure does not include the units sold through subscription services.

Guillaume de Fondaumiere announced the achievement of the sales milestone. The co-CEO of the French triple-A developer Quantic Dreams posted the news on X (formerly Twitter). He also emphasised that the units sold were for games, so games that are used via subscription services such as PlayStation Plus are not included.

The entire @Quantic_Dream team is joining me to proudly announce that @Detroit_Game has now sold in excess of 10 million (paid) units on @PlayStation and PC. We are extremely grateful to each and everyone out there who played the game. You mean the world to us and we couldn't… pic.twitter.com/GQIn9VuYvCOctober 7, 2024

The sales figure also refers to all platforms. Detroit: Become Human was released for PlayStation 4 and was also released for PC two years later. In early 2023, Quantic Dream reported that the game had sold 2.5 million copies on PC. At the time (in German), the cumulative sales figure was over eight million.
