Der Koreanische Entwickler und Publisher Bluehole feiert die Marke von 100 Mio. Dollar Umsatz mit "Playerunknown's Battlegrounds" und gibt erste Einblicke in die Spielerstrukturen.

Obwohl der Verkauf erst am 23. März im Early Access startete hat der südkoreanische Entwickler und Publisher Bluehole bereits vier Millionen Einheiten von "Playerunknown's Battlegrounds" verkauft. Das Spiel habe damit bereits die Marke von 100 Mio. Dollar Umsatz weltweit geknackt. Anlässlich des Erfolgs hat Bluehole auch erste Daten zu Nutzung und Spielerstruktur genannt. Dabei zeigt sich, wie beliebt das Spiel auch in Deutschland ist. Zwar kommen die meisten "Playerunknown's Battlegrounds"-Spieler aus den USA. Sie stellen 24 Prozent aller Spieler. Deutschland steht jedoch mit rund sechs Prozent auf Platz drei und zwar hinter China (19 Prozent) und gemeinsam mit Russland. 5,5 Prozent aller der Spieler sind aus Südkorea, 4,3 Prozent aus Japan und vier Prozent aus Großbritannien. Täglich werden im Schnitt rund 100.000 Partien gespielt. In der Spitze spielten 230.000 User gleichzeitig.
