Rockfish Games Is Back With Another Expansion for Everspace 2

The Everspace 2 team from Hamburg (Rockfish Games) is expanding its space looter-shooter RPG with several new star systems, a new player ship, a new campaign and side missions.
Rockfish Games has announced a second expansion. Everspace 2: Wrath of the Ancients will continue the story, adding new star systems to explore and expanding existing star systems with new side quests. The expansion will be available this spring.
"Our community keeps asking when they can finally explore Aethon and the answer is soon! Everspace 2: Wrath of the Ancients massively expands the universe of the Everspace series, giving pilots more star systems to explore, more enemies to battle, and a new ship that changes the game. Players who want to discover more of Cluster 34 have a lot to look forward to," said Rockfish Games CEO and co-founder Michael Schade. Players will be able to pilot a new ship to battle alien foes and ancient threats in an all-new story set after the events of Everspace 2. Rockfish Games: "Mysterious attacks have laid waste to human settlements in Cluster 34, destabilizing factions in power and stranding survivors. With this destruction, the uneasy peace between humankind and Okkar is threatened—space pilots will venture into the Okkar homeworlds to discover the truth behind the threat before war reignites the DMZ. During the events of Wrath of the Ancients, warp gates open to four new fully explorable star systems including the Okkar homeworlds and Aethon, adding even more secrets throughout Cluster 34. These new star systems will be packed with new enemies, weapons, and gear to discover."
Rockfish Games is an independent game studio based in Hamburg, specialising in space action RPGs for PC and consoles, founded in 2014 by Michael Schade and Christian Lohr. The studio employs 30 game developers and community experts. It is best known for Everspace, which has sold over three million copies. Everspace 2 entered Early Access in January 2021 and was released in 2023, first for PC and later for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It won the German Computer Game Award for Best German Game in 2024. The first expansion, Titans, was released in September 2024, after which the game was updated to Unreal Engine 5 in live operation.
