Sega hat den Videospielentwickler Visual Concepts gekauft. Sega hat damit den Abschluß der bereits 1997 angekündigten Übernahme beschleunigt. Finanzielle Details wurden nicht genannt. Als Bestandteil der Übernahme wurde Gregory A. Thomas, President von Visual Concepts, zugleich zum Vice President Product Development von Sega of America ernannt.
