The Nintendo Switch 2 will be launched this week, on 5 June. Nintendo will also be showcasing the new console and a range of games at DoKomi, an anime and Japan expo taking place in Düsseldorf.

From 6 to 8 June, DoKomi will be inviting fans of Japanese pop culture to the Messe Düsseldorf exhibition centre. And just one day after its launch, Nintendo will be showcasing the Nintendo Switch 2 alongside a variety of Switch 2 games. Visitors will be able to try out Mario Kart World and Super Mario Party Jamboree - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV, which is due to be released on 24 July. Visitors can also try out The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, and the Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour. Last but not least, retro fans can play classic games such as F-Zero GX, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and Soulcalibur II on the Nintendo GameCube - Nintendo Classics.

Visitors can also get hands-on with games from other publishers, such as Split Fiction from Electronic Arts, Street Fighter 6 from Capcom, and Hogwarts Legacy from Warner Bros. Users of the Pikmin Bloom app can also collect special decorative Pikmin.

Nintendo also attended DoKomi 2024, which attracted 180,000 visitors — almost 20 per cent more than in 2023. Last year, 350 exhibitors and 1,500 fan booths were spread across 200,000 square metres in eight halls.
