The Xbox Partner Preview featured 15 games in just under 25 minutes. Remedy showed the Control spin-off FBC: Firebreak, Bloober Team presented their new survival horror game and Krafton unveiled Subnautica 2. But Phasmophobia, Mouse: P.I. For Hire and Blindfire also made an appearance.
Last night, Microsoft presented a total of 15 titles at the Xbox Partner Preview Showcase. The show was framed by Remedy Entertainment, as the Finnish studio kicked off the event with the first gameplay scenes from Alan Wake 2's second expansion, The Lake House, and ended it with FBC: Firebreak, the three-player co-op multiplayer spin-off from Control. The Lake House will be released on 22 October. FBC: Firebreak will be released on PS5, Xbox Series and PC in 2025. It will be a Day One launch title for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
Bloober Team, the developers behind the recent Silent Hill 2 remake for Konami, have announced Cronos: The New Dawn. The third-person survival horror game, set in two different time periods, is scheduled for release in 2025 for PC, PS5 and Xbox. The game itself will take place in both 1980s communist Poland and a futuristic wasteland following a pandemic known only as The Change.
Kinetic Games, developer and publisher of Phasmophobia, released a new trailer during the Xbox Partner Preview Event, confirming that the game will launch into Early Access on consoles on 29 October. Just in time for Halloween, players on PS5, PS VR2, and Xbox Series X|S can go on a ghost hunt together with friends or alone. Since its release in Steam Early Access in 2020, Phasmophobia has sold almost 20 million copies worldwide.
Unknown Worlds and Krafton have announced Subnautica 2. It will be released in 2025 in Early Access on PC and as a Game Preview on Xbox Series X|S with Xbox Game Pass. The open-water survival game will feature cooperative multiplayer.
Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii shows off its sea battles for the first time and has been given a new release date a week earlier on 21 February 2005. The game is an over-the-top follow-up to this year's Infinite Wealth, which saw ex-yakuza Goro Majima embark on an adventure on the high seas.
Further announcements in brief: - Animal Well was released as a shadowdrop on Xbox. - Another shadowdrop was Blindfire for PC and Xbox in Early Access, a first-person shooter set entirely in the dark. It will be released in 2025 for Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC. - Mouse: P.I. For Hire, which combines "old-school FPS gameplay with even older-school cartoon looks", was shown in the trailer. It will be released in 2025 for PC, PS5 and Xbox. - The open-world cycling game Wheel World (Messhof / Annapurna Interactive), formerly Ghost Bike, is set to launch in early 2025 for PS5, Xbox and PC. - After a reveal at the Xbox Games Showcase earlier this year, a new trailer shows more gameplay from Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.
