Nintendo Double-Drops Indie World and Partner Showcase

For the first time, Nintendo brings the Indie World and Partner Showcase streams directly in succession. Apart from new release dates, the streams had shadow drops like Pizza Tower and Plaions Goat Simulator 3, timed exclusives like Star Overdrive and Pico Park 2, an entirely new direction for the Rune Factory series with Guardians of Azuma and several unexpected re-releases like Yakuza Kiwami and Tales of Graces f to show.

A new Nintendo Indie World followed by a Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase were released just now. For the first time, both formats happened in direct succession. The presentations focused on games coming for Switch in Winter 2024 and beyond that

The Indie World edition kicked things off with several updates and game releases, such as:

2D platformer Pizza Tower, already out for PC since 2023, releases today on Switch
Deck building game Balatro receives a free update called Friends of Jimbo
A new instalment in the Coffee Talk series, Coffee Talk Tokyo 2025, will be released next year
Power Wash Simulator gets a Shrek DLC this autumn
Peglin, a pachinko fantasy game, released as a time console exclusive right now for Switch
Top down action game Morsels where players play mice fighting cats releases in February 2025
Physics based sandbox Wobbly Live releases in December
Sandbox Dating Simulator Date Everything! releases on 24 October
Neva from Gris developer Nomada Studio releases on 15 October
Sea of Stars gets a free DLC: Throes of the Watchmaker releases in Spring 2025
Surreal insect RPG Moth Kubit releases in Spring 2025
Pico Park 2 released as a timed console exclusive today

Switch release dates were also confirmed for already known titles, namely The Plucky Squire (17 September), Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope DX (2025), On Your Tail (21 November), Cuisineer (28 January 2025), Metal Slugs Tactics (Autumn 2024), Europa (11 Oktober).

Indie World was immediately followed by the new edition of the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase which included:

Yakuza Kiwami coming to Switch on 24 October.
A new Tetris game, Tetris Forever will be released in 2024
On 5 December, the full-body workout Fitness Boxing 3: Your Personal Trainer will be launched
MySims: Cozy Bundle, a new collection of games from Electronic Art’s simulation series, will be released on 19 November.
Sid Meier's Civilization VII, releasing as a multi-platform title on 11 February 2025, will not only come to PC, PlayStation and Xbox, but to Switch as well at the same day
Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake will release on 14 November for Switch
Goat Simulator 3 is available now as digital release for Switch. A physical retail release will follow in November
Spongebob Squarepants: The Patrick Star Game was announced for 4 October
MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics will release digitally on 12 September and physically on 22 November, followed by Capcom Fighting Collection 2 in 2025
Castlevania Dominus Collection released today, bringing the three DS titles Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia and the arcade game Haunted Castle back
Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted 2 and Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach – Ruin both release this Winter for Switch
A new direction for Rune Factory, Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, will bring cinematic voice action and more production values to the series in Spring 2025
The next part of the Alchemist series from Koei Tecmo, Atelier Yumia: Die Alchemistin der Erinnerungen und das erträumte Land, will release in Spring 2025
PS3 title Tales of Graces f comes back as a Remastered version on 17 January 2025
