One of the most important revenue drivers for Ubisoft is Rainbow Six Siege. The tactical shooter is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year and is set to undergo its biggest transformation yet.

One of the most important games for Ubisoft is Rainbow Six Siege, which will celebrate its tenth anniversary in December 2025. During the championship weekend of the Six Invitational, the French publisher announced the biggest transformation in the game's history, with graphical and audio upgrades, deeper tactical gameplay and new ways to play the game. It's called Rainbow Six Siege X and its purpose is to "is to reinforce Rainbow Six Siege's position at the top of tactical first-person shooters by introducing new ways to play, deepened tactical gameplay, refined game feel and major upgrades all around", according to the announcement. What exactly is in the pipeline will be revealed at Ubisoft's Rainbow Six Siege X Showcase. It will take place in Atlanta, Georgia on 13 March 2025 at 6pm CET and will be streamed live.

The importance of Rainbow Six Siege to Ubisoft is illustrated by the following consumer spending metrics from October 2024. According to these figures, Rainbow Six Siege has generated more than €3.5 billion in revenue since its launch on 1 December 2015. Only the Assassin's Creed series has generated more in the last ten years, at €4 billion. The Far Cry franchise has made around €2 billion over the same ten-year period, while The Division, Ghost Recon and Just Dance have each made more than €1 billion.
