Sega veröffentlicht "Sonic und die geheimen Ringe" am 9. März 2007 exklusiv für Nintendos Wii. Dann rast der Igel wieder und sammelt einen Ring nach dem anderen.

Am 9. März 2007 veröffentlicht Sega ein neues Sonic-Abenteuer. "Sonic und die geheimen Ringe" ist ein Wii-exklusiver Titel und will als solcher die Funktionalität der Wii-Fernbedienung voll ausnutzen. In einem Setting-Mix aus Herr der Ringe und 1001 Nacht springt und sprintet der Igel dabei durch 100 Missionen. Zur Steuerung wird die Wii-Fernbedienung zunächst waagerecht gehalten und dann nach rechts und links geneigt, um den Igel zu steuern. Weitere Bewegungen lassen ihn springen, angreifen oder fliegen.

Mini-Games scheinen auf Nintendos neuer Konsole einen zweiten Frühling zu erleben - nach "Wario Ware: Smooth Moves" oder "Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz" enthält auch "Sonic und die geheimen Ringe" neben den Einzelspielermissionen 40 Partyspiele für bis zu vier Spieler, die die Wii-Fernbedienung in weiteren Funktionen zum Einsatz kommen lässt.
