In today's devcom stream hosted by speedrunner Lucina "Bisalina" Hum, the esports player foundation will introduce a spotlight on the sport with foundation member Patrick Decker and athlete Sarah "Sahrii" Lesch participating.

In its most recent recurring streaming format, devcom Developer Conference is putting the spotlight on speedrunning – hosted by speedrunning content creator Lucina Hum alias “Bisalina”, who has organised many speedrunning charity events in the past.

Today’s episode, starting at 17:30 o’clock on the devcom Twitch channel, will be produced in cooperation with the esports player foundation at Xperion Cologne. Hum will demonstrate advanced speedrunning techniques, while Patrick Decker from the esports player foundation and League of Legends player Sarah "Sahrii" Lesch will be introduced to the world of speedrunning for the first time.  Sahrii is part of the DKB Xperion NXT Esports Team and is sponsored by the Esports Academy NRW, a joint initiative of the esports player foundation and the State Chancellery of North Rhine-Westphalia.

The idea behind the cooperation is, as the EPF says, to “see what really matters for newcomers and whether previous experience in esports can give them a decisive advantage.” The connection of the developer platform, an angle interesting for the B2C speedrunning community and the esports playing field might also be a version of putting the currently still ongoing discussion about esports charity status in Germany into the spotlight more.
