It was on track to be shut down, now it is saved: Korean publisher Krafton has bought Japanese studio Tango Gameworks from Microsoft and ZeniMax. The deal includes the Hi-Fi Rush! IP, but not others that Tango worked on.

Tango is saved: As Krafton has announced tonight, the Korean publisher has bought up Japanese game studio Tango Gameworks from Microsoft and ZeniMax. The American software company had recently announced the closure of the subsidiary.

The deal includes the Hi-Fi Rush! IP, but not other IPs that Tango Gameworks developed under ZeniMax. The Evil Within and Ghostwire: Tokyo will remain part of Microsofts IP catalogue.

It’s unknown how many of the developers at Tango are still on board and will transfer to Krafton and how many have already been let go at Microsoft. Creative Director John Johanas at least has already announced his return to Tango on Social Media.
