Mehring Aims to Strengthen Bavaria's Position as Germany's Leading Games Location Even Further

Almost 10,000 people attended GG Bavaria 2026 at the Kleine Olympiahalle in Munich last weekend. Bavaria's Minister for Digital Affairs, Dr Fabian Mehring, was also extremely satisfied, and aims to further strengthen Bavaria's position as Germany's leading location for games.

House of Games Berlin Makes Progress and Responsibility for Games Policy Consolidated

The House of Games Berlin is entering its final implementation phase in 2026. Since January, it has been led by the state-owned Wista Management and the Senate Department for Economics, Energy, and Public Enterprises. Furthermore, responsibility for games policy has been centralised.

Members of the Bundestag Re-establish Cross-Party Parliamentary Group

On the initiative of Joachim Ebmeyer (CDU), Holger Mann (SPD) and Dr Andrea Lübcke (B90/Grüne), members of the Bundestag have formed a cross-party parliamentary group on games to institutionalise dialogue between politicians and the industry. It’s not the first such group in the Bundestag.
