2026 is a strong election year in Germany, with several Federal States holding state elections and a bunch of others holding local elections. One of them is Rhineland-Palatinate (RLP; Rheinland-Pflanz), which holds federal state elections on 22 March. The state isn't a strong games funding county, however it features several important German gaming firms such as Anno makers Ubisoft Mainz, Envision Entertainment, Kalypso Media Group and Binary Impact.

As such, we have combed the electoral programs of the democratic parties in the election for their stance on gaming.
