For the second time, gamescomLAN took place in Cologne, and once again, the offshoot of the world’s most important gaming trade fair was a resounding national success.

The final figures from gamescomLAN, held from 21 to 23 February at the Cologne Exhibition Centre, speak for themselves. A total of 3,500 visitors attended—twice as many as in 2024. The number of content creators engaging with the community on-site and producing content also doubled to over 200. Additionally, the event welcomed 500 business guests from Germany, marking an increase of 200 compared to the previous year.

"Last weekend demonstrated just how vibrant and passionate the gaming community is. Together with all stakeholders, we created an event that truly celebrates our shared passion. We are particularly pleased that our new TCG & Fighting Games area was so well received—the atmosphere in the hall was incredible," said Dennis Gehlen, CEO of TaKeTV.

"The gamescomLAN has once again proven that it is much more than just a LAN party. It serves as a central meeting point for the gaming scene, bringing people together and showcasing the diversity of our community," added Cédric Schlosser, CEO of MYI.

Oliver Frese from Koelnmesse and Felix Falk from game also shared positive feedback. Frese described the exhibition halls as the "ideal setting" for the event and noted that excitement for gamescom 2025 is now in full swing. Falk, in turn, stated that gamescomLAN has evolved at record speed into "a must-attend event within the gamescom ecosystem."

As for future plans, no date has been set yet for the next gamescomLAN. However, this is not unusual—the 2025 date was also announced only a few months after the previous event rather than immediately afterward.

Unlike gamescom and its two offshoots, gamescom latam and gamescom asia, gamescomLAN is at least still a nationally oriented event that appeals to the German community.
