Für das 4. Quartal 2000 hat Tecmo den Spieletitel "Dead or Alive 2: Hardcore" für PlayStation2 angekündigt. "Das Spiel basiert nicht auf der japanischen Version des Titels und wird auch keine Reproduktion der Dreamcast-Version sein", ließ Tecmos Marketing Manager John Inada verlauten.
