According to US media reports, Sophie Turner is “almost” confirmed to take on the role of Lara Croft in Amazon’s upcoming series adaptation of the iconic Tomb Raider franchise.

Could Croft Manor have a northern flair? The idea isn’t far-fetched if recent Hollywood rumors are true. Outlets such as Variety report that Sophie Turner, best known for her role as Sansa Stark in the fantasy series Game of Thrones, is in final talks to play the legendary adventurer.

While Variety notes that the deal has not been finalized, it is reportedly close to completion. The series, based on the beloved video game franchise, will feature Phoebe Waller-Bridge as executive producer and screenwriter.

If confirmed, Turner would become the third actress to portray Lara Croft in a high-profile production, following Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander.
