Located right on the border with Germany in Schaffhausen, the Swiss studio Urban Games is enjoying great success with its Transport Fever series. Although the company was founded in 2013, the Vision for its creation originated in the mid-to-late 1990s. CEO Basil Weber cites Transport Tycoon as the source of inspiration: "It fascinated me so much that, at the age of 15, I knew I wanted to start my own company and develop a similar, or even better, game." So he decided to study computer science at ETH Zurich, specialising in computer graphics. During his studies, he started programming Train Fever with his brother Urban. For his master's thesis, he solved a specific problem in the game: how to simulate and dynamically grow cities.
