Following the launch of the Pico 4 Ultra, Pico XR and Intel have launched a VR sports event called "Pico x Intel VR Sports | Ultimate Championship". In addition, XR wants to get involved in the merging of traditional sports with high-tech devices.

Pico and Intel have announced a VR sports event. The Pico x Intel VR Sports | Ultimate Championship Event, a two-competition tournament, will begin on 17 October. Interested participants can register for the event on the Pico website. Two winners will receive a cash prize of €1,000 and a total of six winners will be drawn from across Europe. One of the two challenges will take place in All-in-One Sports VR with the disciplines of basketball, squash, archery, boxing, volleyball, tennis, badminton, table tennis, football and hockey, while the second challenge will take place in the game TempoClub.

The competition started on 10 October 2024 with registration, which ends on 16 October 2024 at 08:00 CEST. The competition will then run from 17 October 2024 at 10:00 CEST until 3 November 2024 at 11:00 CEST. Once registered, players may choose to participate in either or both of the above competitions.

"By fusing traditional sports with high-tech equipment, limitations of time, place, environment and professional equipment can be easily overcome. This provides users with more flexible and richer fitness scenes, while ensuring safer and more efficient sporting experiences. In addition to working with Intel on this VR sports festival, Pico also plans to work with Juventus Women to become the club's first VR equipment partner to support women in sport," the company said.
