This is hands-on virtual farming: Giants Software has announced Farming Simulator VR. The standalone game on Meta Quest will be available at the end of February 2025. It is the first VR game from Giants Software.

Farming Simulator VR will be released on 28 February 2025 for Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest 3S and Meta Quest Pro. It is the first VR game from publisher and developer Giants.

Using a VR headset from Meta, players can plant their fields with crops such as corn, wheat and soybeans. They operate (authentic) agricultural machinery from manufacturers such as Case IH, Claas, Fendt, John Deere and others - directly from the accurately designed cabs of these vehicles. The virtual farmers also get up close and personal when it comes to machine maintenance: equipped with an electric impact wrench, they regularly service their machines in the workshop, replace individual parts and then clean them with a high-pressure cleaner in the yard. In addition to traditional farming in the fields, the farmers also grow a variety of crops in greenhouses: tomatoes, aubergines, strawberries and other crops. These are harvested by hand and then carefully sorted into crates ready for sale.

Giants Software is an international video game developer and publisher based in Switzerland, founded in 2004, with offices in Switzerland (Zurich), Germany (Erlangen), USA (Chicago) and Czech Republic (Brno). Since 2008, over 40 million units of Farming Simulator have been sold worldwide. The series has been released on all major platforms including consoles, mobile phones, tablets and PCs.
