InnoGames Welcomes 130 Participants to IGJAM
One of the most established game jams in Germany, the 15th InnoGames Game Jam (IGJAM), took place on the second weekend of November. InnoGames welcomed 130 developers to its in-house event venue, where 24 games were created in just 48 hours.
The theme of this year’s IGJAM was "Bottleneck." However, this was far from reflective of the event’s atmosphere. As Hendrik Rakemann, software developer and project manager, remarked: "The topic was 'bottleneck,' but we experienced the exact opposite: creative ideas just poured out! Congratulations to the winners and a big thank you to all participants and co-organizers. Without you, this jam would not have been possible. I’m already looking forward to next year!"
In total, 130 aspiring and professional programmers, graphic artists, and game and sound designers gathered at the “Townhall,” InnoGames’ in-house event space. Together, they developed 24 new games in only 48 hours.

Unlike previous game jams, which featured just an overall winner, this year’s event introduced three additional award categories: Graphics, Gameplay, and Theme Implementation. - Graphics: Neko Pa-nya by team SalsaShark - Gameplay: Bubbleneck by team Bubbleneck - Theme Implementation: Bottle to Neck by team Die Kampfbläser
In the Overall Ranking, Bubbleneck claimed the top spot. Second place was shared by Gamecon Mania from team Kipfele + Friends and Starboard from team Anderley.
