The Belgian Game Awards 2024 will be presented on 18 October in Brussels, and now the nominations have been announced. Larian Studios' Baldur's Gate 3 has 'only' been nominated for three awards. Flemish Games Association and BelgianGames want to showcase Belgian game developers' creativity nationally and internationally.

The Belgian Game Awards 2024, organised by the Flemish Games Association (FLEGA) and BelgianGames with the support of various partners of the Belgian games ecosystem, has announced the nominees for this year's show. The live show will take place on 18 October at the Brussels Expo. "What's new this year is that we won't just have nominees and winners, but games will win a Gold, Silver or Bronze Award," say the organisers.

The jury is still playing unpublished games, all of which have a chance of being nominated for the Most Anticipated Award, the voting for the Audience Award will open soon, and one game will also take home the Belgian Game of the Year trophy. There will also be three special awards for studios: Most Promising Start-Up Studio, Changemaker of the Year and Best Tech Provider.

FLEGA and BelgianGames: "On October 19th & 20 game enthusiasts can discover and play games of nominees and winners at Gameforce. With Gameforce joining forces with Made in Asia and Heroes Comic Con, we’re looking forward to celebrating the largest videogame event Belgium has ever seen. In addition to the live show and expo, a week-long Belgian Game Awards Steam Event is planned to celebrate this year's nominees."

Through events such as the Belgian Game Awards, the Flemish Games Association (FLEGA) and BelgianGames aim to showcase the creativity of Belgian game developers on the national and international stage.
