Xbox Formed a Strategic, Multi-Year Partnership With AMD and Is Teasing a Multi-Store Approach
Microsoft has announced a multi-year, strategic partnership with AMD to jointly develop silicon for a range of devices, including next-generation Xbox consoles, handheld and home devices. The Xbox experience will not be limited to a single store or device.
Xbox President Sarah Bond explained this strategic, multi-year partnership with AMD in a video clip. "At Xbox, our vision is for you to play the games you want, with the people you want, anywhere you want. That's why we're investing in our next-generation hardware lineup, across console, handheld, PC, cloud, and accessories," she said. This includes next-generation Xbox consoles and other devices for use in the living room or on the go. Microsoft has previously relied on AMD hardware (CPU/GPU) for the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles.
