Tom Gillo Will Follow Patrick O’Luanaigh as CEO of nDreams

After nearly 20 years Co-founder and CEO Patrick O’Luanaigh will step down on 1 June to become Chairman of nDreams. His role as CEO will be taken by Chief Development Officer Tom Gillo.
Change at the top of nDreams. The games studio specialising in VR, which was acquired by Aonic in 2023 (in German), will have a new CEO on 1 June. The previous head of the company, co-founder Patrick O'Luanaigh, will step down as CEO and become the new Chairman.
His successor as CEO will be the current Chief Development Officer Tom Gillo. Gillo himself has been in the industry for almost 30 years and has held various positions at Lego, Virgin Interactive, Codemasters and PlayStation's London Studio, where he played a key role in the development of EyeToy and PlayStation VR, among others.
"I am incredibly proud of what we have built at nDreams since Tammy and I rented a tiny office in 2006 and took the plunge," said Patrick O’Luanaigh. "It has been an amazing, challenging and incredibly rewarding journey. We have achieved so much already, and yet the company still has so far to go, with VR/MR still in its infancy. From a new vantage point as Chairman, I’m excited to see nDreams reach even greater heights under Tom’s capable leadership."
Incoming CEO Tom Gillo added: "It’s an honor to succeed Patrick as nDreams’ CEO. He and I go back a long way – all the way to PlayStation Home days. Being on the journey alongside him building nDreams over the past ten years has been the defining chapter of my career to date, and being able to continue that journey and build upon that legacy into the future with the backing of Aonic is both a fantastic opportunity and a real privilege."
