In City Transport Simulator 2026, players are responsible for passengers, schedules and operational procedures, as well as planning and driving their routes through a city environment. The game is set to launch on 14 April 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Owners of City Transport Simulator: Bus will receive City Transport Simulator 2026 as a free update. All existing content can continue to be used and will transition seamlessly into the new version.

"With City Transport Simulator 2026, we are consistently moving the series forward and focusing on improvements that our community has been asking for. At the same time, we want to attract new players to the franchise with fresh content," says Daniel Buda, Managing Director of ViewApp.

City Transport Simulator 2026 will be available in two editions. The Starter Edition, priced at €39.99, allows players to operate buses and trams. Vehicles included are the MAN Lion’s City A21 (two and three door variants), the MAN Lion's City A23 (three and four door configurations) and the MAN NL205. The vehicle line-up is further expanded by the ULF A1 and B1 trams, as well as the R2.2b. The Expert Edition, priced at €59.99, includes all the content of the Starter Edition and adds more vehicles, including the MAN New Lion's City 12C, the articulated MAN New Lion's City 18C, and the MAN New Lion's City 19C. Further trams are also added, including the Flexity Vienna and the StadtRegioTram. The Expert Edition also includes the Tram and Bus Depot, the South Route DLC and the "Basel Style" cosmetic pack. And there is the new Citybus C2, which will be released as a separate DLC costing €19.99. This package adds four new bus variants to the existing fleet, including the Citybus C2 solo bus with two or three doors, and the articulated Citybus C2G with three or four doors.
