That was fast! The Kickstarter campaign for Songs of Silence reached its goal in less than eight hours. Chimera Entertainment is very pleased with this success.

Yesterday evening, Chimera Entertainment launched the Kickstarter campaign for Songs of Silence. After only eight hours, the funding goal of 23,000 Euros was reached. The total amount raised currently stands at just under 28,000 Euros from 393 backers. Chimera Entertainment wrote on social media: "This milestone means the world to us, and we can't wait to bring you more with our stretchgoals!"

"We're excited to launch our Kickstarter campaign for Songs of Silence to further enhance and refine the gaming experience we've poured our hearts into. With your support, we aim to elevate every aspect of the game, from polishing its visuals to expanding its features, ensuring that Songs of Silence delivers an unforgettable journey for players," said Creative Director Alex Kehr. Beyond funding, this Kickstarter campaign is about building a community, gathering more feedback, and involving players in the development process before the game launches in Early Access on 23 May.

Alongside the Kickstarter launch, a new version of the game's demo was released on Steam, featuring improved AI and a PvE skirmish mode. During the Steam Next Fest in October 2023, the demo was ranked among the top 25 games and received widespread attention. Songs of Silence recently won the "Best Upcoming Playable Game" award at Digital Vikings during DevGAMM Gdansk 2024.

Songs of Silence received 500,000 Euros in funding from FFF Bayern and almost 1.5 million Euros in funding from the German government's computer games funding programme under the working title "Realms at War". In addition, almost one million euros has been approved for a DLC pack.

Chimera Entertainment employs around 60 people and is one of the largest teams within the international family of game studios at Remote Control Productions. Founded in 2006, the team is best known for Sacred Legends, Word Wonders: The Tower of Babel and Angry Birds Evolution.

Game description: "In Songs of Silence, command mighty armies as epic heroes, storm the bastions of fortified cities and hunt legendary monsters through the wilderness. Our extensive main campaign will see you exploring and conquering a large and varied map: a world divided into realms of light and darkness - and subject to an existential threat…"
