GamesMarkt: What is your verdict as you look back on 2025?

Dennis Korf: "2025 in Wooga was about change, focussing on June's Journey and how we work together on delivering the best game to our players. Change can be difficult, so I'm proud of the team for their achievements this year as we see more and more players playing June's Journey with passion. We recently held a player event in New York City as part of our collaboration with Wicked and hearing from players directly about what the game gives to them, how playing June’s Journey calmed them down in tough moments of their life or simply using the game to travel the world, was very reassuring and motivating to keep up the work."

GamesMarkt: What are your predictions for the gaming industry in 2026?

Dennis Korf: "Leveraging AI across all areas will definitely remain crucial in order to stay competitive. Additionally, D2C will continue to be an important cornerstone for providing value to players through a complementary, owned channel. Thirdly, tailored experiences in order to provide fun for all players especially for products that have been on the market for several years will become more and more important. Legacy games with large, loyal fanbases continue to make up for a large proportion of the market and so it is key to keep the experience fun and relevant for all players, no matter if they enjoy their favourite game for many years already or just discovered it recently."

GamesMarkt: How is Wooga positioned for 2026?

Dennis Korf: "As mentioned above, 2025 was about change at Wooga and we can now see that those changes had some very positive effects on us as a studio and our business. The even more important testament to that though is the positive feedback we receive from our players on some of the recent changes and releases we shipped to June’s Journey. We’ve done a lot of big and small tweaks to create a holistic, relaxing and fun experience for all our players, we launched our very first IP integration in collaboration with Wicked and we will continue on that same note in 2026. Our goal really is to bring June’s Journey to its next evolutionary stage to ensure the game remains a beloved escape for millions of players worldwide."
